The Homebuilding Association of Richmond (HBAR) has announced the 2017 Major Achievement in Marketing Excellence (MAME) Award winners. The ceremony was held on Thursday, March 1, at the Jefferson Hotel and honors the best of the best in the new home construction and remodeling industry. Eagle Construction took home 16 honors between company and individual awards.

Best Print Advertisement (Company)– Richmond Magazine Ad featuring Eagle Moments Timestamp       

The creative strategy behind this particular ad was to capture a moment in time our audience can relate to, an everyday moment that happens in a household. We decided to produce a series of ads to bring this “Time Stamp” concept to life. This particular moment in time captures children trying to “help” their mom with an everyday task, the laundry, which takes a turn in the exact opposite direction as they decide to play together in the laundry basket instead. Although not conducive to actually getting the task done, this is a moment in which the mom can’t help but laugh and enjoy this moment of humor, which our audience can relate to.

This award encompasses the best overall social media strategy for all social media platforms and eblasts in regards to concept, creativity, copy, and execution.

Eagle’s Design Center was awarded as the top winner based on the functionality of the layout, the visual appeal, use of merchandising, and range of selections. The 4,000 square foot Home Gallery was renovated this past April to showcase new trends and offerings, refresh the color palettes and materials used, as well as incorporate all new décor and furnishings, and showcase new key features.

Best Marketed Community – 101-500 Homes – GreenGate

GreenGate was chosen as the best marketed community for a development of 101-500 homes in regards to marketing collateral, sales promotions, special events, signate, landscaping, and advertising campaigns.

Community of the Year – 100 Homes or Less – John Rolfe Square

John Rolfe Square was chosen as Community of the Year for a development of 100 or less home sites. This was chosen based on the use of land and environment, architecture, amenities, sales promotions, signage, and landscaping.

Community of the Year – 101-500 Homes – GreenGate

GreenGate was chosen as Community of the Year for a development of 101-500 home sites. This was chosen based on the use of land and environment, architecture, amenities, sales promotions, signage, and landscaping.

Best Model Home– Townhome $700-900k – GreenGate

GreenGate received the honors for best model home in the $700-900k townhome category. This was chosen based on landscaping, architectural appeal and overall impact, signage, execution, streetscape, and interior merchandising.

Personal Excellence Awards – Individual Honors

Lender of the Year – Mike DeSantis

Mike DeSantis was chosen as Lender of the Year, bringing over 27 years of experience to the industry, 9 of those being in the home building industry. His settlements in 2017 were over $65 million, one of the highest in the Mid Atlantic.

Platinum– Jennifer Carlton, Tiffanie Lohr, Megan Phipps, Sarah Keeble

Gold– Elaine Johnston, Bo Shelton

Silver– Jessie May, Nicole Willoughby
